In 2015, the Knowledge Centre organizes the official professional side event of the NATO Partnership Running Festival (NATO Run), a two-panel workshop entitled ‘Battleground Europe’, which will concentrate on the Ukrainian crisis. The first panel will focus on Russia’s hybrid warfare, while the second panel will focus on the issues related to international law regarding the situation in Ukraine. The goal of the workshop is to encourage students to initiate lively discussions with each other with the help of an expert, in an informal environment, and deepen their knowledge of the topic, as well as form new relationships and improve international understanding and cooperation.

The letter of motivation should outline how you would benefit from participating in the workshop, and should include your ideas about how you will contribute to spreading the results of the debate and how you will use social media surfaces and other means of communication (e.g. at your home university) to engage in a discussion about the situation in Ukraine. The travel cost calculation should include the means of transportation you would use to travel to and from Budapest and the expected costs. Please
note that in case of acceptance, the costs of travel and public transportation in Budapest will be partly covered by our institution taking into consideration the received travel cost calculations.
